Degree

Having successfully completed the program, students will be awarded the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik (Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies) in the field of specialisation "Information and Communication".

This degree will enable candidates to join a Ph.D. program in Germany or abroad, as the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology’s diploma degree program has been accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology; http://www.abet.org/). The M.Sc. degre is equivalent to the former diploma degree.

A Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies will provide its holder with a solid theoretical foundation, insight into current trends and developments, as well as ample opportunity for practical experience in all these areas. Students will be able to work as development engineer and/or external Ph.D. student for Multinational Companies like Siemens AG, DaimlerChrysler AG, Bosch, Infineon Technologies AG, and others. Graduates will be able to apply computing technology to set-up innovative control systems, software design and development.
